Position summary
We’re launching an online store for CHHS student clubs—and we need your help to build it from the ground up. As the E-Commerce Specialist, you’ll work closely with the CHHS Marketing Coordinator to set up the store, add products, manage orders, and promote it online. The money raised will help support club activities and mission trips. This is a hands-on role where you’ll get real experience in digital marketing, online sales, and running a purpose-driven e-commerce business.
Qualifications summary
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and willing to learn. Basic experience with tools like Canva, HubSpot, OptimizePress or Shopify (or interest in learning) is helpful. We’re looking for someone who’s reliable, can follow through on tasks, and enjoys working with people. No prior e-commerce experience needed—we’ll guide you. Ideal for students interested in digital marketing, communication, business, or entrepreneurship.
Duties and responsibilities
- Help set up and run CHHS’s first e-commerce store in partnership with student clubs
- Add and organize products (photos, prices, descriptions)
- Keep the store up to date with current inventory and active products
- Work with clubs to create and schedule product launches
- Make sure orders are tracked, fulfilled, and delivered smoothly
- Track store activity and sales
- Promote the store through social media, email, and club events
- Meet weekly with the supervisor (CHHS Marketing Coordinator) to plan and review progress

Qualifications

Undergraduate student (preferably in Marketing, Business, Communication, or related area)

Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

Able to follow instructions and ask questions when stuck

Interest in digital tools and marketing (prior experience is a bonus, not required)

Comfortable working with peers, club leaders, and staff

Willing to learn platforms like Shopify, Stripe, OptimizePress, HubSpot, and Canva.

Good communication skills—written and verbal
Technical competencies
- Able to upload products and update pages on an e-commerce platform (we’ll train you)
- Familiarity with Canva or other design tools to help make product images or banners
- Able to track inventory and sales
- Willing to learn tools like Shopify, Stripe, and basic website editing
- Comfortable using HubSpot or a similar CRM.
Interpersonal interactions
- Will work closely with the CHHS Marketing Coordinator (your supervisor)
- Will interact with student club leaders to coordinate product ideas and updates
- Occasionally assist at tabling events or pop-up shops
- Should enjoy working on a small team and communicating clearly with others
Physical demands
- Mostly computer-based work
- May need to lift small items (under 25 lbs) for product staging or photos
- Occasionally assist with in-person events or store promotion activities
Work environment
- Hybrid (a mix of remote and in-person work at CHHS offices)
- Quiet workspace preferred during work hours
- Occasional pop-up events or club fairs might involve setup/teardown
